Rita sends the Rangers to the dangerous titular location.
Last time on Power Rangers: The Rangers put on a play afterward saving the day.
Dancing Doesn't Mean No Worries
Zack is practicing his moves for an upcoming dance competition, but is convinced he'll lose. Bulk and Skull's contemptuousness doesn't help, fifty-fifty when in a trip the light fantastic toe-off rematch Zack easily beats Bulk all iii times. Elsewhere in the Gym and Juice Bar, Tommy is education a pair of kids martial arts moves. He stresses they are merely for self-defense. Billy joins the others, wearing cotton overalls instead of jean ones merely they still count. Zack leaves to mope.
On the moon fortress, Rita is summoning Mutitis and Lokar to the fear of Baboo and Squatt. Goldar is impressed and verbalizes her upcoming scheme. Her spell-casting triggers an earthquake downwardly in Affections Grove. Jason contacts Zordon, who admits she'southward harassing a power he's unfamiliar with. Since his two students are still at the Gym and Juice Bar, Tommy opts to stay backside with them to make certain they don't get too scared or have anything bad happen to them.
The others detect Zack on a trail in the woods just every bit Putty Patrollers assault. When Goldar and Scorpina evidence upwards with more Putties, the 5 morph. Meanwhile Rita is casting the final spell to call upon Mutitis who shows up already super-sized.
Forming the Megazord, the five assail. Since the two kids are now playing arcade games, Tommy gets Ernie to take over supervising them. Ernie's upset that a lot of his dishware got broken in the earthquake.
Lokar has materialized every bit a face up in the heaven, using his power to 'upgrade' Mutitis. A morphed Tommy calls upon the Dragonzord to boxing the monster. Mutitis spits out toxic foam all over the 2 Zords, sending the six Rangers falling out of the cockpits. They end up on the Island of Illusion.
In the Control Center, Zordon admits to Alpha 5 that he tin can't reach the squad in that location and they'll have to believe in themselves in order to escape.
The Titular Location
Zack's the showtime to discover they're missing their communicators and Power Coins. Sticking close together, they outset exploring the semi-tropical forested area. I don't become the purpose of the stock footage of a komodo dragon; maybe information technology's a leftover from the Zyuranger footage?
They briefly come across a little person named Quagmire who speaks in rhyme and thinks they're allied with Rita and therefore teleports abroad. An image of Goldar appears in the sky, bragging that the Rangers will soon exist gone. A cluster of monsters from previous episodes appear and make as if to attack the team before vanishing.
Freaked out, Zack goes off on his own simply to come across a snake lounging on a branch. Evidently Zack is afraid of snakes equally well as spiders. Unable to recognize information technology's a constrictor and therefore unlikely to set on (and definitely won't bite him), Zack starts panicking and claims it'south going to attack him.
None of the others tin run across the snake. Baton correctly theorizes what's going on. Just Zack has started to fade away. Quagmire briefly teleports back in to warn them about the isle's power to make fearful people disappear. Goldar is certain that the Rangers will soon all fade abroad.
Determination
I can sympathise why the Rangers were worried about the earthquake, because what happened last time Angel Grove had an convulsion on that calibration. Rita is stepping up her game to defeat the Rangers even more, to the point that Zordon got caught off-guard. I'1000 non certain what purpose Quagmire will exist serving in this two-parter, but I don't know why he's a little person- hopefully for a reason beyond wanting to stress how odd the isle is.
While Billy is the weak link on the team in regards to gainsay power, this episode stresses that information technology's very possible Zack is the weak link psychologically. His fear of spiders was stressed in "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and unlike Trini'southward fear of heights in "High Five" information technology was made clear said fear hadn't diminished at all. Plus, to cover upwardly his nerves in flirting Angela he stresses his own 'awesomeness' instead of opening upwards that he likes her. And information technology only took some half-decent pretending from Kimberly in "Happy Birthday Zack" to convince him that his four closest friends had all forgotten his birthday.
Similar almost two-parters, the first one-half sets up the scenario to be dealt with side by side time- in this case, the Rangers facing their own fears in order to escape from the Isle of Illusion.
Next fourth dimension on Ability Rangers: The team figures out a way off the isle.
